Evanesce Theory
A downloadable game for Windows
THIS GAME IS A WORK OF FICTION - ANY RESEMBLANCE OF CHARACTERS TO ACTUAL PERSONS, PLACES OR ENTITIES IS PURELY COINCIDENTAL.
You are a criminal negotiator by the name of Ken, sent to investigate a bomb threat at the Sunrise Shopping Centre by a mysterious man by the name of "Mr. Smile," who beckons you to "turn his frown upside down." However, the supposed hostages seem mysteriously unphased with the situation at hand. Needing their knowledge to get to where he's hiding, Ken sets out to fulfil the needs of the clerks, to put the smiling man to justice!
Explore the shopping centre, meet each strange shopkeeper and solve puzzles in order to figure out the code required to confront the smiling man.
This is my final project for my second year of my game development course, and is my first time writing a serious story like this. Feel free to leave any constructive feedback either for bug fixing reasons or so I can improve on my projects going forward!

Love the desolate feeling atmosphere and vibe of this game and the ORIGINAL soundtrack adds onto this in a very nice way, this is also helped by the emptiness of the visuals and dulled out color choices
I didn't get some of puzzles straight away and some at all (possibly skill issue from me) but I liked how creative they were was nice to see puzzles done in a fresh way that I don't really see in these kind of games normally
a longer more fleshed out version one day would go hard
